Membership & Support Tiers
Associate One: Social & Cultural Membership
Designed for partners, local business supporters, and folks who want the community side without stepping a foot on the training mats.
The Details: An annual or monthly contribution tier designed for non-training members who want to support the club’s community well-being initiatives. This tier directly funds our community forums, group workshop supplies (like calligraphy ink and traditional teas), and covers our baseline administrative overheads. Includes automatic entry to all off-the-mat social club events and community yarns.
Fees: $20 for the whole year
Associate Two: Active Heritage & Well-Being Membership
Designed for the participants who are actually getting on the mats to train.
The Details: Our comprehensive membership tier for participants taking part in our active physical outlets. Includes full access to our structured weekly movement sessions, traditional Japanese Judo and European Sambo physical literacy practices, and use of specialized club safety equipment. This tier also covers necessary national sporting association liability insurance for active participants on the mats and includes full entry to all off-the-mat social events.
A Note on Eateries & Local Venues: For any of our official social events held at local regional venues or eateries, meals and refreshments are strictly pay-your-own-way directly to the venue. We do this to ensure our club funds go directly into running community programs while actively supporting the local Portland economy.

Association Membership Disclaimer
Portland Takedown is a fully registered, regional non-profit organization (ABN: 41 794 203 050). When you sign up for either our Associate One or Associate Two membership tiers, you are officially applying for financial membership to Portland Takedown Incorporated under our association's rules and constitution.
Because we operate strictly as a non-profit, 100% of your membership contributions go directly back into funding our community forums, cultural supplies, facility overheads, and participant safety insurances. Under our official club rules, these associate memberships give you full access to all listed events, facilities, and insurance protections, while the legal governance and association voting structures remain with our foundational committee members to ensure long-term club stability and strict grant compliance. Everything we do is completely transparent, above board, and run by locals, for locals.
