Portland Takedown is a grappling club in South West Victoria. We compete in judo and sambo, with a focus on helping students build skill, confidence, and community.

We train across multiple grappling styles, including judo (IJF and Kodokan), sambo (sport, beach, and combat), and freestyle wrestling. Our classes are game-based and designed to develop real instincts — not just memorise moves.

Our values are grounded in jita kyoei — the idea that we all grow stronger by supporting each other. Whether you’re here to compete, stay active, or be part of something positive, you’re welcome on the mat.
